Ditta Artigianale Firenze
Ditta Artigianale's new café has opened in Florence, in the former monastery of Sant'Ambrogio. After 35 years of disuse and a complex four-year restoration, the former monastery of Sant'Ambrogio, in the heart of the city, has been given a new lease of life. The restoration of the 300 square metres, including the refectory and cloister, was carried out by Studio Q-bic and focused on blending Tuscan character and tradition with contemporary interiors with an international flavour. In particular, the former refectory of the convent, which overlooks the cloister, is home to the Scuola del Caffè (Coffee School), while the rooms overlooking Via Carducci are the heart of the café. Clean lines, neutral colours interspersed with green, symbolically reconnecting with the internal garden, wood, iron, brass and exposed beams are the coordinates of the renovation, while the walls, “cleaned up” from the most recent paint jobs, have regained their original identity. The product chosen for the flooring is SET GEM by Ceramica Sant'Agostino, a concrete-effect stoneware that recalls the Scarpian motif and interprets it in a contemporary key that perfectly combines classic taste with industrial chic details.
