Cinestar, a leading Croatian company in the entertainment sector that already has about fifteen Multiplex centers, commissioned Architect Marco Rodda to design this new complex in Zenica, an important Bosnian town located less than 100 kilometers from Sarajevo. Cinestar has always wanted to characterize its theaters and the common spaces of the lobbies of its cinemas with particularly creative and original design solutions, and Rodda has followed this philosophy by adopting finishes and decorations that enrich the spaces in a context in which the black colour appears to be dominant. The choice of creating the floors by mixing different graphic motifs from the PATCHWORK collection is particularly original: an innovative range of small-size tiles made of porcelain that reinterpret the tradition of cement tiles in a contemporary key. From the access stairs to the entrance to the rooms, the ceramic, laid with diagonal cuts that alternate bands with an opposite background color, decisively rhythms the spaces, recalling atmospheres and decorations with an almost oriental flavor, once again demonstrating extreme versatility of the wide range of Ceramica Sant'Agostino.
