Data subjects: newsletter subscribers

In accordance with Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679, hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”,

we hereby inform you that Ceramica Sant’Agostino S.p.A. , as Data Controller, processes your

data to fulfil your request to receive the newsletter and subscribe to the mailing list for the

purposes of direct marketing, newsletters, sending promotional, commercial and advertising

material or material relating to events and initiatives organised by the Data Controller,

including by entering such data into the Data Controller's corporate CRM system, in full

compliance with the principles of lawfulness and fairness and the provisions of the law. The

provision of your personal data is optional, but it is necessary to register you for the service.

You may object to the processing at any time by using the link at the bottom of the email or by

sending a request to the Data Controller at the addresses indicated in this policy.

Your personal data will be processed manually, electronically and/or telematically, through

the use of cookies (as indicated in the cookie policy document available on the website) and

through automated communication systems (e-mail). All processing is carried out in

accordance with the procedures set out in Articles 6 and 32 of the GDPR and through the

adoption of the appropriate security measures provided for.

Your personal data will be processed manually, electronically and/or telematically, through

the use of cookies (as indicated in the cookie policy document available on the website) and

through automated communication systems (e-mail). All processing is carried out in

accordance with the procedures set out in Articles 6 and 32 of the GDPR and through the

adoption of the appropriate security measures provided for.

In order to compare and, where necessary, improve the results of communications, the Data

Controller uses systems for sending newsletters and promotional communications with

reports. Thanks to these reports, the Data Controller will be able to know, for example: the

number of readers, openings, unique “clickers” and clicks; the devices (iPhone, Blackberry,

Nokia, etc.) and operating systems used to read the communication; details of emails sent by

date/hour/minute; details of emails delivered and not delivered, and those forwarded; the list

of those who have unsubscribed from the newsletter; who opened an email or clicked on a

single link; users with message display problems; link tracking (i.e. the number of clicks on

the links in the message). All this data is used for the purpose of comparing and, where

necessary, improving the results of communications.

Your data will be processed by personnel duly authorised to do so and will be processed by

external parties, designated as Data Processors, for the proper management of the

relationship and, in particular, by agents, the external platform used to manage the sending of

newsletters, the external company that manages marketing activities and, for maintenance

and support purposes only, the companies that manage the hardware and software of the

We would like to point out that, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, purpose

limitation and data minimisation, pursuant to Article 5 of the GDPR, the retention period of

your personal data is set for a period of time not exceeding the performance of the services

provided and until your revocation/opposition to the processing.

You have the right to obtain from the data controller the erasure (right to be forgotten),

restriction, updating, rectification, portability, and opposition to the processing of your

personal data, as well as, in general, to exercise all the rights provided for in Articles 15, 16,

17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 of the GDPR by writing to privacy@ceramicasantagostino.it. The data

subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

1. The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of

personal data concerning him/her, even if not yet recorded, its communication in intelligible

form and the possibility of lodging a complaint with the Supervisory Authority.

2. The data subject has the right to obtain information on:

a. the origin of the personal data;

b. the purposes and methods of processing;

c. the logic applied in the case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic

instruments;

d. the identification details of the data controller, data processors and designated

representative pursuant to Article 5, paragraph 2;

e. the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or

who may become aware of it in their capacity as designated representative in the territory of

the State, data processors or persons in charge of processing.

3. The data subject has the right to obtain:

a. the updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data;

b. the erasure, anonymisation or blocking of data that has been processed unlawfully,

including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which it has been

collected or subsequently processed;

c. certification that the operations referred to in letters a) and b) have been brought to the

attention, also with regard to their content, of those to whom the data have been

communicated or disseminated, except in the case where this proves impossible or involves a

use of means manifestly disproportionate to the protected right;

d. data portability.

4. The data subject has the right to object, in whole or in part:

a. on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even if

pertinent to the purpose of collection;

b. to the processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purpose of sending

advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial

communication.
